Note from Anita
Hi. I apologize for the length of time between newsletters and I hope this one finds you in improving health. I heard an interview on the radio a while ago with a woman named Wendy Schlessel Harpham. She is the author of Happiness in a Storm: Facing Illness and Embracing Life as a Healthy Survivor. This book is about cancer survivors, but its concepts really define what I am trying to do for you to help you deal with your fibromyalgia. My Fibromyalgia Mission:
To give you Knowledge that inspires Hope which leads you to take Action. Please, gather information, then believe you can get better, and finally take some steps to get you moving forward.
Most of you haven't seen my new home page, so. . .
Here's an excerpt from the new Home Page of FibromyalgiaHope.com:
This website is designed to help you move ahead on your journey to better health.
Are you looking for a quick fix for your fibromyalgia? Then this website is not for you. It is going to take a multi-faceted approach to get you feeling better.
Maybe you're not ready to take action. Wherever you are at in your journey, that is OK. You can still futher your knowledge and foster your hope, preparing yourself for action.
Look at it this way: if you don't change anything, things will stay the same. How terrible would that be?
Are you willing and ready to make some changes to improve your health? Then stick with me. I am not a doctor. I cannot diagnose, treat, or cure you. You need to be under the care of--and receive approval from--a licensed health care professional, before you make any changes.
Here's what I can do for you:
I can give you health-related knowledge and tools. I stress a natural way of doing things that does not have a long list of side effects.
I provide Professional Health Coaching, in group or private sessions, which give you more knowledge and will help you stick with lifestyle changes that you want to make, in order to improve your health.
I recommend nutritional supplements which are guaranteed to help you feel better, from the #1 natural nutrition company in the United States.
All of this can help accelerate your progress during your quest for better health. You choose what will work for you.
Now, I can appreciate that you may have tried everything and are skeptical about ever feeling better. Please be open to the possibilty of improving your health. If you don't believe you can get better, I can't help you.
But hope alone is actually
detrimental. You cannot just sit back and hope to get better or hope that a magic pill will come along.
You must take action. What you do to improve your health is up to you. Don't know what to do? Start by gathering more knowledge here, at FibromyalgiaHope.com.
May this knowledge give you hope that, in turn, inspires you to take action toward improving your health.
That's my new Home Page for FibromyalgiaHope.com. Whether you decide to get deeper sleep, choose better foods, or start moving every day, please take steps to better your health. If you are in just too much pain, see my Symptoms Page and Nutrition Page. You do not have to live with pain.
*Are you tired of dragging through the day?
*If you don't have caffeine, do you end up on the couch, unable to function?
*How badly do you feel if you often say, “I’m too tired,” when your child wants you to play?
*Are you frustrated because your family can’t understand why you're tired all the time?
*Are you fed up with missing out on life, because you just can’t muster the energy?
Tip of the Month
Need to break a sugar addiction? Try drinking 4 ounces of orange juice instead of reaching for a treat. This orange juice relieves the sugar craving without throwing your blood sugar into peaks and dives. I know it sounds too simple, but try it for a week, replacing sweets with orange juice. It works.
Put yourself and your health first! (I know it's easy to say and hard to do, but necessary.)
That's all for now,
Anita
